Chalcedony "Gingerbread Man" from Madhya Pradesh, India. I didn't know what else to call this! Such a unique shape, and a very nice large display slab that will certainly stand out in your collection. These unique chalcedony formations occur in pockets in the Deccan Trap Basalts, which underlie much of the Maharashtra State. Locals call them "mountain coral", due to their branching, coral-like look. I cut this piece lengthwise, and polished the cut face to reveal the unique contrast of tiny threads of flowing moss with milky agate zoning and translucent rock crystal build-out. It turned out to be quite unusual, whimsical and fun!
