K2 Azurite in Granite Wand from the Skardu Region of Northern Pakistan. This unique lapidary material is reportedly found in the colluvium at the base of the K2 mountain. The granite material consists of fine grained quartz, plagioclase, muscovite, and biotite. The region where this is found is quite remote and sees very few visitors. But I'm willing to bet that there might be a few more footpaths working their way into the area now than in years past, due to the rapid speed at which this material took off in popularity as a lapidary material. This wand has a nice long length and could be used as an actual massage tool, or just display it as a sample of this interesting and trendy material.
