We offer a free leaf fossil hunting trip to the Lake Creek, Oregon area. The trip leaves on Monday morning, August 31st, from the Laurel Street parking lot in front of the First United Methodist Church, and the Wesley Hall. Sign up for this fun field trip at the show, or contact us prior to the trip, to let us know of your interest. Count on approximately one hour of drive time both to and from the site (two hours total), and a hike in of approximately three tenths of a mile. Bring sledge hammers, chisels, pry bars, shovels, and any other thin edged tool for splitting layers of the Oligocene Age volcanic tuff that we will be digging in. You will also want to bring food and water. Any questions? - Don't hesitate to contact Scott at (541) 621-2558

In 2012, we were grateful to the First United Methodists of Ashland, for generating proceeds from concessions that went to support the work of Paul Jeffrey. Jeffrey travels the world, documenting crises and the efforts to manage them. Charities worldwide benefit from his honest and detailed reports, and his photography tells the immediate stories of the peoples affected. See to view Jeffrey's important work, Global Lens.
